Super easy ciabatta

How much time you need: 10 min. + rising for 8 hours + 10 min. + 20 min. in the oven at 250 degrees

What you get: The recipe makes 2 ciabatta loaves or 10 buns for sandwiches.

You will need this:

2 ½ dl water

5 g yeast

1 ½ tsp. sugar

1 ½ tsp. salt

400 gr. wheat flour

Here's how you do it:

Put yeast and sugar in a bowl and crush the yeast. Pour in the water and stir. Add the flour and salt and stir for 1 minute until everything is combined and it looks doughy.

Leave the dough to rise for 8 hours or overnight on the kitchen counter.

When the dough has risen:

Put a plate in the oven and turn it on to 250 degrees. When the oven has heated up, you take the dough and carefully roll it out on a piece of baking paper. The important thing is to watch out for the bubbles in the dough, because it is the bubbles that cause the big holes in the dough. Now take a sharp knife and cut the dough in half lengthwise. Press down with the knife and at the same time push to the side so that you divide the dough into 2 oblong loaves.

Take the hot plate out of the oven, pull the baking paper over the plate and put it in the oven immediately. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove the loaves and let them cool on a wire rack.

Eat the breads for soup, salads, with jam or make delicious sandwiches.

You can replace some of the wheat flour with coarse flour, e.g. rye flour, but this requires a longer rising time. The breads in the picture are baked with 300 grams of wheat flour and 100 grams of rye flour. They have risen for 10 hours on the kitchen table.
