Penny Puzzle is a new series of small mini-puzzles in Danish design. The series of 14 mini-puzzles was launched at the Maison & Objet fair in Paris in September 2021, and you can find the many small puzzles out in the Danish bookshops and design shops from mid-November 2021.
How small are the Penny Puzzle puzzles?
Penny Puzzle is mini-puzzle from the inside out and from the first to the last piece. Each puzzle has only 150 small pieces. It might sound like less than you are used to laying down, but you will be surprised that the 150 pieces are still a nice challenge.
Each puzzle piece measures approx. 1-1.5 cm. Each corresponds to approx. 1/6 of a normal puzzle piece for e.g. a 1000 piece puzzle.
The finished puzzle measures approx. 10 x 15 cm. It corresponds to the size of an ordinary postcard. You can therefore finally take your puzzle under your arm or in your pocket and take it with you on trips. Penny Puzzle is actually your new to-go puzzle game.
The boxes that Penny Puzzle comes in measure 6 x 6 x 6 cm and are completely glossy. The motifs are printed on the lid, so you can easily choose which mini-puzzles you want to put on.
How many different Penny Puzzles are there?
In the first edition, there are 14 different designs that you can choose from when you buy the Penny Puzzle. The mini-puzzles are designed by 8 different female designers who have agreed to collaborate with Bettina Cronquist, who designed the concept and the Penny Puzzle series.
All 14 Penny Puzzles are numbered from 1 to 15. No. 13 has been skipped.
You can find the 8 female designers i.a. on Instagram. They are: @helen_dardik, @yumikitagishi, @gaiamarfurt, @lunettedeparul, @victoriaball_, @bettinacronquist, @jane_newland and @hebe.studio. Each of them offers a completely unique style and the coziest motifs.

Penny Puzzle is for all adults over the age of 12. It's a nice little gift that you can give to yourself, your best friend, someone who never does puzzles, and someone who has done a ton of hard puzzles. The 150 pieces are neither too big nor too small a challenge. On the contrary, 150 pieces are just enough for you to overcome them without a lot of training and at the same time enjoy reaching the finish line quickly if you have been solving puzzles for years.
