How sad it is that Arnold Busck has gone bankrupt. Back in 2012, when I launched Box Quiz, Martin Monrad was the first buyer to whom I showed my idea. I just brought some drawings to the meeting and a list of the first 12 quizzes. Not a single quiz had been produced yet. Not a single product to feel and touch. Still, Martin could see my idea, and he just said: We'll have to have that! I almost felt like I could fly after our first meeting. If you have tried to launch a product with both your brain and your heart, as I have, then you know that you can feel it in your whole body when you get that kind of support for your idea.
The collaboration with Arnold Busck and the nice store managers and local game buyers and especially Martin Monrad has meant an incredible amount to my company, my business and all my 1000's of Box Quizzes that have been produced and delivered and sold over the past 8 years. During the 8 years that have passed, there have been almost 90 different Box Quiz titles in Danish for adults and 10 learning games for children, and Martin has included all titles in the assortment in all the stores when they have been launched.
Thank you so much for an absolutely fantastic collaboration, open and honest discussions about options, feedback for the development of displays for the quiz games, many many many invoices paid on time, an amazingly sweet and competent staff in every store that I have spoken to almost every month and a great store presentation and sales performance of all my quiz games.
I will miss Arnold Busck very much, and I think that there are many other Danes who do. Not just because of good sales, but because the people at Arnold Busck are brilliant and have been very unlucky. It is a chain with some fantastic locations, well-appointed shops and Denmark's most iconic bookshop in Købmagergade.
To everyone who needs to hire employees: If Arnold Busck is written on the CV, take them!
