1500-piece Pomegranate jigsaw puzzle, Wild World

At the intersection of art, nature, and geography, explore Wild World, an epic pictorial map by cartographer Anton Thomas. Instead of political or man-made borders, Thomas's map is defined by 1,642 hand-drawn animals—all wild, native, and living—situated in their natural habitats. "Wild World is a place that still exists; a world that can still be cared for, valued, and protected," he says.

This highly detailed work took three years to complete, driven by his lifelong love of maps and his admiration for the diverse planet we inhabit. Although his life story began in New Zealand, it was during a visit to Canada that Thomas's mapmaking took an unusual turn: he found himself sitting in front of a refrigerator for six weeks, drawing a map of North America directly onto its surface. Next step: the entire world.
